Nitin Bhatia and his family were devastated when they lost their dog Bella suddenly in January 2018. They tried everything they could to find a place to cremate her until a friend came to their rescue and buried her at her farm.
On 11/2/2018 Nitin started to tweet about this most desperate need in our city of having a Pet Crematorium.
Heartened by the immediate response and with constant follow-ups we are happy to say the Government of Telangana initiated the process and the first pet crematorium was established in December 2022 in Fathullaguda. The crematorium is a collaborative effort of People for Animals and GHMC.
Amara is now in conversation with GHMC to build a crematorium in Kukatpally area where one can bid farewell to our companions with dignity and sanctity.
